Offentlig prosjektsammendrag
Norway has committed to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 50-55 percent by 2030 and by at least 80 percent by 2050. Reaching these goals will require a transition in energy carriers, from petroleum to renewable resources. This project aims to advance and improve the accuracy, security and efficiency of prediction methods and design processes for floating wind farms by adding modern, advanced multi-diciplinary 3D visualization capabilities and collaborative workflows to a new Floating Offshore Wind Software platform. Floating turbines are subjected to interaction effects which vary with both wind and wave conditions. To visualize these interaction effects is of prime importance to understand how the interaction effects influence on the energy production. There is a need to run a coupled analysis of the floater and the turbine in a secure manner. Provision of a workflow that allow accurate and secure simulation and visualization of the coupled solution which satisfies IP concerns.
