ONiO is a fabless semiconductor company focused on developing advanced ultra energy efficient microcontroller chips for IoT and small electronic devices. Chip testing is one of the key process blocks in our manufacturing and supply chain, with a direct impact on the final cost of the chips. This project will focus on developing and implementing new testing approaches for small IoT and sensor chips. It targets simpler equipment and more efficient test routines tailored to the needs of startups and small fabless semiconductor design players. The project will be centred on the ONiO.zero chip, but the results will be replicable to other small chipsets, particularly within the IoT and sensor devices segments. The proposed project will be key to fast-tracking ONiO’s technology to market, namely for ramping up production and supply of chips in a cost-effective manner. It can also benefit other players in similar semiconductor segments.
