This project advances BENTELER Automotive Raufoss AS (BAR) by developing cutting-edge aluminium components for the automotive industry's evolving demands. Innovations include next-generation Crash Management Systems (CMS), complex extruded profiles, digitally controlled forming processes, and advanced surface treatments. These address the need for products with complex designs that are cost-effective, flexible, and suitable for low-volume production while meeting stringent safety and quality standards. The project utilises advanced digital controls, tool-less forming techniques, and data-driven variation management to enhance production precision and stability. In collaboration with leading R&D institutions, BAR aims to significantly improve process capabilities, ensuring robust, adaptive manufacturing that meets the demands of traditional OEMs and emerging industry leaders, positioning BAR at the forefront of aluminium innovation.
