Fiven Norway AS is a world-leading manufacturer of ceramic powders for high-tech materials. Fiven is dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for the current and future industries. The company has had a presence in the region since early 1900s. The product applications include foamglass, refractories, semiconductor, metallurgical, abrasion, and high-temperature applications. To be at the forefront of the world in the development of new innovative products, we need a strong technical professional environment. The research and development department of the Fiven Group has been strategically located in Lillesand. The markets for SiC-based ceramics are developing rapidly, and Fiven has a great need to continue its high rate of innovation to spearhead developments. The project aims to develop SiC-based ceramics for standard applications. Based on Fiven's expertise in SiC manufacturing and processing, new solutions will be developed for applications in current and future equipment for the production of ceramic components. These technologies require unique properties of the silicon carbide products, and completely new solutions in terms of materials and product concepts will be developed. Despite the fundamental nature of the development, the project will test samples with customers, and verify function in real-world applications.
