Offentlig prosjektsammendrag
Decarbonisation and electrification of energy systems, in particular the European, require new technology making sure that the transition is both environmentally friendly and cost efficient. In accordance with the EU-wide 2030 climate and energy framework and the subsequent Regulation on the Governance of the Energy Union, the EU member states' national energy plans must cover 5 dimensions of the energy union, of which two of these are decarbonisation and energy efficiency. In-line with the fifth dimension, i.e., research, innovation and competitiveness, new technology must be developed and implemented in the energy system. Advanced industrial high temperature heat pumps are able to advance both decarbonisation and energy efficiency of the European energy systems, provided the technology is reliable and cost efficient. This project aims to achieve this goal by further develop parts of a new very high temperature heat pump through increased mechanical and thermodynamic knowledge of the heat pump process and the manufacturing.
