The Fish Tank Cleaner (FTC) is a vital component in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), responsible for collecting waste and regulating water levels. With the industry trend shifting towards producing larger fish in land-based systems, there's a need to adapt FTC designs to accommodate higher fish densities and flow rates. This shift presents challenges such as accelerated flow rates, which can strain FTC components like the outlet box. Additionally, existing system faces challenges with air suction that will lead microparticle generation, which will be difficult to trap through mechanical filters. Through this project AKVA group aims to develop an FTC solution for high-flow RAS and mitigate the air-suction problem, ensuring efficient waste management and system performance.
