AgriSenze AS is pioneering a precision agricultural tool for real-time soil nitrate monitoring, aiding farmers in optimising fertiliser application. Aligned with UN SDGs, it enhances food security, reduces excess nitrate application, and mitigates climate change. Studies show as much as 50% of fertiliser is applied unnecessarily, which incurs inflated costs to farmers and contributes heavily to nitrate runoff that pollutes the surrounding land and watercourses. This technology gives farmers access to a cloud database which shows live soil nitrate data coupled with environmental and meteorological information to allow for data-driven decision making – preventing excess fertiliser application, saving the environment, and reducing overall fertiliser costs whilst maintaining high yields. Seeking to penetrate the Norwegian market initially, followed by Scandinavia and the UK, AgriSenze will create an accessible and invaluable tool that paves the way for sustainable farming practices. The project is poised to create numerous high-skilled jobs, boost environmental conservation, and contribute to global sustainability efforts.
