Innovative attack prevention for biometric systems

The project will develop Face Verification solutions for use in onboarding and authentication. New technologies for biometric verification in the encrypted domain and novel concepts for liveness detection. The project adresses the problems of increased instances of ID fraud and account-take-overs. In the Nordics, we see at 10x growth in fraud on established two-factor authentication. The project will enable eID providers and financial services providers to do a step-up to verify user identities. The ambition is to leverage privacy-preserving biometrics technologies to protect the image data and enable it to be re-used at need. Biometric fraud is an increasing problem with more remote ID-proofings. The project goal is to advance the state-of-art of remote id proofing and contribute to eIDAS 2.0 success.
