Development of a "Wasteless" reactor for biomass production on dissolved nutrients from RAS

A Wasteless reactor is an innovative and compact way of dealing with the accumulation of nitrogen and phosphorus as well as other nutrients in the dissolved waste stream from RAS. As the water gets treated from nitrogen, phosphorus and CO2, a biomass value can also be produced to provide ingredients that can further be incorporated in other products of value like aquafeed, as well as draeing the advantages of the production of oxygen and base. The development of the Wasteless reactor aim to be compact with high biomass production and bioremediation of process water, at the same time that it should be low maintenance and include automatic harvesting technology.
