The construction industry faces many challenges; lagging productivity, acute labor shortages and a staggering environmental footprint. New ways of working are desperately needed! One of the most exciting such ways is offsite construction (OSC), known as prefabrication or modular construction, where we can exploit many of the benefits that come with producing offsite, in a controlled, industrialised environment. However, processes to adopt OSC are not optimised and many of the potential gains are not realised. The traditional approach often leads to multiple parallel tender processes, burdened by the challenge of identifying the right manufacturers in a fragmented market. This results in inefficiencies, escalating costs and low adoption rate. Manufacturers are spending enormous amounts of time on various tools and spreadsheets, drawing, manually converting and calculating, and preparing bids in various formats with emails sent back and forth. We are developing an end-to-end, fully integrated procurement platform for OSC, to significantly improve the adoption of OSC by offering: To contractors and developers: a seamless, low-effort way to explore and determine whether OSC fits their project, and receive easily comparable bids to swiftly rank the candidates, removing all friction in the tendering process For manufacturers: a place to discover new business to ensure a steady funnel of projects, and handle the full process of preparing and delivering bids in a highly automated manner - significantly reducing time spent and eliminating human errors For all: seamless collaboration between stakeholders across the value chain with the right information available at the right time in a standardized format - drastically reducing time to contract, and ensuring the best possible accuracy and match between projects and manufacturers For society: an accelerated adoption of OSC by removing barriers - enabling a shift to a significantly more efficient and sustainable industry
