Novel chemical fingerprinting analytical setup and integration of technologies (SkatteFUNN)

Based on the project, NORCE will build up a mass spectrometry facility with cutting-edge analytical instrumentation, including LC-HRMS, for the identification and quantification of a wide range of chemical pollutants in environmental samples. Careful considerations will be made to ensure an optimal setup and minimize/monitor vibrations of the building. Challenges and uniqueness are related to optimizing and integrating sophisticated instruments with mathematical tools for efficient delivery, also when reference standards are not available. The platform will ultimately be used for service deliveries to companies and researchers, balancing functionality with usability as well as partial automation of interfaces and reporting.
