Manolin is a sustainable aquaculture technology company. Our data services are helping to scale global aquaculture by de-risking productions while protecting ocean ecosystems. The aquaculture industry has a data problem. Information is incomplete, inconsistent, and scattered across platforms or sources. Many factors are at play in the water at any given time, and they’re all interconnected. Without a holistic view into what’s happening, farmers (and the industry at large) miss valuable insights. Our solution: Manolin helps farmers get value from their data. Our Essentials platform brings all farm information into one easy dashboard that analyzes what’s happening in the water today, reports on the past, and alerts on future health risks. We let farmers know when their fish health is in danger by constantly monitoring millions of industry data points. Our customers are alerted to their risk of PD or ISA, for example, at more than 93% accuracy. Here’s how we tackle it: • Collect: We collected two decades of industry data and continue to monitor millions of production and environmental data points every day. • Combine: This is combined with a farmer’s production data in one easy platform, which automatically analyzes what’s happening in the water now and reports on the past. • Predict: Anonymized farm data is fed into our machine learning models, which send alerts when something is off and fish health is at risk, so farmers can act sooner. We are creating a platform that can support the entire industry with effective information to manage this highly complex and dynamic environment using information technology in a nearly ideal scenario.
