Offentlig prosjektsammendrag
Cell-based diagnostics using circulating tumor cells (CTCs) has gained considerable traction in the past years, and the proven tools (such as CellSearch) do not longer fulfil the need for more in-depth analysis of CTCs beyond counting cells. Due to advances in technologies such as microfluidics and automation, established IVD companies selling CTC analysis kits are in need of an improved cell selection product that is suitable for these applications. We develop magnetic beads with great kinetics, high magnetic susceptibility, and size suited for both microfluidics and liquid handling automation for CTC isolation.
