Project GROW 3.0 - Industrialization of hydroponics lab for plant science and optimization

Project GROW 3.0 involves using Rift Labs' patented method for mixing lights in different wavelengths, which provides a precise and adjustable light of high quality not typically seen in horticulture, and tailor this light together with other input factors (CO2, water, temperature, nutrients, etc.) to produce desired plant characteristics in vertical farming operations. This type of complexity is unprecedented, comprehensive and requires interdisciplinary R&D expertise. Through Project GROW 1.0, an innovation contract with ONNA Greens AS and Crayon AS, supported by Innovation Norway, we have completed an initial pilot of our "hydroponics lab", a small-scale controlled environment plant producing unit, which acts both as a research station for plant optimization and as a calibration tool for vertical farming operations. This project aims at industrializing this hydroponics lab for improved and more robust functionality, more efficient production and reduced product cost.
