ChargeBnB - Enabling an ecosystem of EV charger sharing

The project is first of its kind in Norway, where any driver that is already driving an Electric Vehicle (EV) or is looking to buy an EV but cannot charge at home can access a variety of shared charger options. These shared EV chargers are provided by ChargeBnB's software platform that enables this ecosystem of EV charger sharing. According to the IEA’s Global Electric Vehicle Outlook 2022, the only way to ensure that the current momentum in EV sales is sustained is if “larger shares of the population have access to convenient and affordable charging infrastructure”.ChargeBnB believe in a future where people can rely on an ecosystem where charging options are available both close to where they live,& at their destination points, and that this infrastructure is shared between users so that our society can efficiently go fully electric. While it has progressed rapidly in the last 15 years, and is still very dynamic today, the current state of the e-mobility ecosystem relies on several disconnected solutions that are not appropriate to sustain a transition to a society where 100% of vehicles are electrified. This project helps in enabling this charger-sharing ecosystem and lowers the barriers to electrifying our society. The project supports the company to take the current MVP further towards commercialization and create this fully functioning system that can be used by charger owners on one hand and EV drivers on the other.
