Offentlig prosjektsammendrag
With an increasing number of cell-based immunotherapies on the market and many others in clinical trials, cell therapy is gradually taking a center-stage in the treatment of a growing number of cancer types. The focus is shifting from proving that immune cells have a vital role in the fight against cancer, to optimizing the processes of safe and reliable manufacturing of products for thousands of patients, for different conditions and at a reasonable price. We are addressing the new market opportunities by intensifying customer centric innovation and development, acknowledging that novel therapies require new manufacturing processes and technologies. In this specific innovation project we aim to build a novel polymer T cell activation reagent to provide a flexible, simple, and a cost-effective technology for the activation of selected T cell subsets. This novel technology is designed to work in synergy with various Dynabead-based cell isolation products, currently in development.
