Pilot Test (Phase 4) of new mutli string logging tools in offshore wells

The project aims at developing a new and innovative technology for multi string barrier verification in oil and gas wells. The technology could potentially be an enabler to allow through tubing cement verification and rig less plug and abandonment of wells. If successful, the technology will result in a tremendous cost saving for the oil and gas industry along with the state of Norway within P&A. WellGuard is working close with the industry and renowned research institutions to succeed in developing the technology. Plan for commercialization is early 2023. In addition Repsol will utilise this new technology to develop further possible opportunities for Wells P&A with especially focus for utilising a LWIV.
