We will deliver a handheld low-cost inspection instrument for quality control of gases in packages containing food and pharmaceutics to ensure the product shelf life and quality. A compact gas analyzer based on laser spectroscopy, driven by an intelligent TDLAS platform and an innovative digital laser performance model will reduce the cost and maximize the instrument performance. The instrument will be a game-changer in the packaging inspection segment. Reduction of food and pharmaceutical waste is of critical importance to reach the UN sustainable goals. One solution is packaging with modified atmosphere (MAP) to prolong the shelf life and preserve product quality. Inspection of gas content and sealing properties are essential to ensure correct MAP packaging. Present inspection instruments are not very attractive as they suffer from limited lifetime, high maintenance, and operator costs.
