T-cell activation is a cornerstone in manufacturing of T-cell therapies, and precise control over the activation strength and duration is crucial. Dynabeads™CD3/CD28 provides a consistent method for isolating and activating T cells and is the current gold standard in T-cell activation. This activation technology has been utilized in clinical cell and gene therapy protocols for nearly two decades, but it is incompatible with certain downstream processes and cannot be actively released from cells to control activation duration. There is a customer demand for a more flexible activation technology to optimize signal duration and provide bead-free cells for downstream processing, which we address in this new project.
