ENABLING A SMART, EFFICIENT AND TRUSTWORTHY IDENTITY AND SKILL VERIFICATION ECOSYSTEM. 1.8 billion people lack an identity that can prove who they are, what they have done and what they can do hence limiting their access to employment and financial opportunities. For employers, banks, or investors verification of credentials is costly and time-consuming; a challenge further heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic that has disrupted many institutions’ operations. Institutions also experience a challenge of forged credentials and need a safe and efficient way to issue certificates that protect their identity and staff. They also need reliable data to know what skills are in demand to align their training thereafter. Based on the research collected about other credentials apart from training credentials; Diwala’s experience operating in the African market for over 3 years now and user insights gathered, Diwala will develop an improved and efficient solution for fast and secure issuance and verification of various credentials and profiles. In addition, this solution will have an improved issuance and verification model that will be more automated, data-driven and crowdsourced
