The construction industry faces many challenges; between lagging productivity, acute labor shortages and a staggering environmental footprint, new ways of working are desperately needed! One of the most exciting such ways is prefabrication, where we can exploit many of the benefits that come with producing off-site, in a more controlled and industrialized environment. However, processes to adopt prefabrication are not optimized today and many of the potential gains are often not realized. To deliver on the promise of prefabrication, we are developing Modulize to become THE single collaborative platform for prefab design, planning, and execution. In practice, this means building software that enables the following: (1) For manufacturers: Automate cost estimation, bidding and element design (2) For contractors, developers & architects: Automatically identify prefab opportunities to optimise project design, planning & cost estimation (3) For everyone: Enable seamless collaboration between stakeholders across the construction value chain Building these capabilities will optimise project planning and execution, because we will ensure that - the right information is available at the right time, in a standardized format, and - this information is used to identify the best possible approach to adopting prefab in any given project.
