Intake of krill oil and the potential health benefits: preclinical and clinical studies.

Aker BioMarine spends significant amount of resources on innovative scientific research on krill, and we work continuously with the development and scientific documentation of our products. A key goal of our work is to increase the understanding of how the various components in krill, such as phospholipids and omega-3 fatty acids, work in the body and the beneficial effects of krill oil supplementation on human health. This SkatteFUNN project therefore aims to investigate the health effects of consuming krill-based products through preclinical and clinical studies. All studies will be conducted in close collaboration with leading national and international universities and R&D institutions.
