Offentlig prosjektsammendrag
DIGILEV will develop a 3D environment where the ground can be modelled by combining "smart" deliveries from soil and rock mechanics laboratories and from telemetry (point observations and remote sensing measurements). Deliverables are: - A dynamic 3D model as input to e.g. BIM-solutions -- Integrated data in the 3D model from the soil and rock mechanics laboratory and from telemetry, including flexibility to add data from other sources. NGI is one of the largest suppliers in the world of geo-data on soils and rocks and geo-observations on structures. There is a need to handle an ever increasing quantity of data and convert these to 3D representations in real time, for example for early warning of impending danger. Current test automatization in laboratories is done by pump and motor controls, logging units and interface between sensors and data collected. There is a need to develop new improved technology to ensure data acquisition and flexibility for "new" test and data types. Developing a platform to ensure the automated, continued and dynamic automation of the entire testing and telemetry processes, including the integration of the data in a 3D model, is the challenge. Once this "interconnectivity" is in place, a new challenge resides in developing real time, flexible, 3D models of the ground. To meet these challenges, DIGILEV develops interconnectivity between multi-sourced geo-data to produce a flexible, dynamic 3D ground modelling platform where Laboratory data, monitoring data and telemetry data are combined and visualised. The 3D platform will enable direct access with civil engineering tools like BIM interfaces. A typical novel application of the 3D model and integrated multi-sourced data, in addition to foundation design in urban areas, would be the implementation of a real time early warning system for rain-induced landslides.
