In asset-heavy industries, it is vital to improve operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and prevent catastrophic failures. Machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have been identified as a catalyst and driver of growth in green technology and sustainability. However, many real world AI projects fail to yield expected results and scale beyond the pilot phase. This failure to launch and scale can be attributed to a lack of labeled data. Labels are vital as they are the "fuel" for which the "engine" (or AI) needs to run. Without labels, AI has no lessons to learn from or source of truth on which to base itself, and thus the potential value is lost. Unifai is building software to significantly elevate the success of AI projects through labelling data, faster insight discovery, and strong collaboration between data scientists and engineers.
