As the global protein requirement continues to increase along side an ever growing consumer awareness for sustainability and longer-term thinking. The need for sustainably sourced raw materials to feed the agricultural sector will progressively become a greater priority on the feed producers list. As we at Nutrimar, a biomarine company have a mindset orientated around sustainability, when looking at this dilema we can see the value that our products could serve in both a nutritional and sustainability aspect. Thus, we are ever more interested in determinng the true value that our products can contribute to the feed industry. This project then serves as an exploration in which not only the individual products will be assessed but also the potential that lies within blending of products. Pre-mixing will not only add value to the products but will also contribute to optimising the nutritional profile for the species being fed. Thus, the outcome is hopefully products that can provide a functional component while meeting the protein and/or amino acid needs of the animal.
