Developing methods for increasing security for app specific data

The use of mobile apps is increasing. More people are using a wider range of services offered through apps on mobile devices and PCs. A key requirement for offering these services is a satisfactory security level when it comes to sharing and storing sensitive information. Current existing holes in this requirement make service providers reluctant to use this technology in certain scenarios. The results of this project aim to address these holes. The goal is to raise both the security level as well as the user experience which are normally conflicting entities. Through offering secure authentication without hardware tokens and a broader range of sensitive data sharing without the risk of losing reputation when disclosed and compromised, opens for providing a better service to the end-user and thus a competitive advantage for the service provider.
