NEXT Biometrics provides advanced fingerprint sensor technology that delivers uncompromised security and accuracy for the best possible user experience in the smart card, government ID, access control and notebook markets. The company’s patented NEXT Active Thermal principle allows the development of large, high quality fingerprint sensors in both rigid and flexible formats. The project has a goal to develop a highly secure, cost effective and modularized large-area fingerprint sensor solution that meets the Microsoft’s Windows Hello Secure Biometrics requirements for Modern Device PC with slim and compact form-factor for easy integration into mobile devices. The SecureBIO module utilizes a Federal Information Processing Standards Level 3 capable secure microcontroller where the fingerprint biometrics processing is carried out to achieve Match on Chip inside a highly secure environment. The SecureBIO module has a common interface that allows pairing with Next Biometrics’ fingerprint image sensor modules including the latest generation Personal Identity Verification certified FAP20 size fingerprint image sensor modules.
