Development of a mobile-first digital assistant for food businesses

Savvie is developing a user-friendly mobile-first digital assistant which will contribute to the triple bottom line of helping businesses, society, and the planet. Our business optimization tool leverages data and machine learning models to help food businesses make the right decisions to increase their operations productivity and increase profitability while reducing waste at its source. Upon completion, the product will help businesses forecast sales, track waste, optimize scheduling, inventory, production planning and digitize recipes, among other features. What sets us apart is that we are operating on the prevention side - helping food businesses optimize which addresses the root-cause of waste. Unlike existing solutions, Savvie aims to bring sophisticated AI solutions in a simple and intuitive app. This will bring technology adoption in low-digitized industries such as the consumer-facing food businesses. We are applying for a project to further develop our product - the focus has been to build the app itself, but through SkatteFUNN, we will carry out the research, testing, and knowledge gathering required. This is different from our standard operations as it involves the development of a new product, and multiple rounds of iteration before we can scale it to more customers. As a SaaS company our daily operations entail monitoring the system stability, preparing environments for new customers, improving the app via small iterations, and engaging in sales and market activities. This project will enable food businesses to be more efficient and resourceful - providing data-driven insights that would be difficult to obtain elsewhere. With Savvie, newcomers in the market can skip the trial-and-error phase, and make the right decisions from the start. Savvie will help to transform the food industry to be more efficient and sustainable.
