Offentlig prosjektsammendrag
The supply of tie-in equipment is normally provided through one of the following contract models: Part of the Subsea Production System (SPS) contract Part of the Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF) contract Separate contract or part of delivery contract for other subsea structures The tie-in market is dominated by a few large companies delivering complete SPS packages. In addition a few independent suppliers of tie-in equipment exist. Nautilus Subsea is an independent supplier with the intention of competing with the major suppliers. This is assumed to happen as newly developed tie-in equipment is increasingly recognized as viable alternatives and the contract strategy is changed with regard to SPS/SURF contract packages vs. standalone packages Nautilus Subsea was founded with personnel with an in-depth knowledge of tie-in systems including development of several of todays operating tie-in systems. This knowledge has been, and still is the basis for the current development of Nautilus new tie-in system Nautilus has previously qualified and applied for patent of a 14 horizontal tie-in system, the H-Mode A large bore design is now being developed. The key technology developed and tested as a part of a previous qualification process form the basis, but scale effects, new connector design, a demand for higher structural capacities and a new set of tools requires a new qualification process. The new large bore tie-in system (range from 28 to 42) will supplement to the current technology on the market as: The size of the expansion spool can be reduced as the tie-in system will allow higher loads from the spool The H-Mode large bore design imply reduced loads being transferred across the connector during operation, ie loads on inboard, sensitive components will be reduced (valves, tees, wyes) The Compact design and system applications ensure efficient use of the highly specialized installation vessels for large diameter pipelines.
