Urban Sharing is the Norwegian technology startup behind a platform which powers one of the world's most efficient bike sharing schemes, Oslo City Bike. The platform optimizes the number of times a vehicle is used per day so that a system isn't flooded with unused or underutilized vehicles. Urban Sharing believes that a multi-modal approach to transportation, where micromobility plays a vital role, is key to navigating a new urban reality. For this approach to succeed, it is essential for micromobility solutions to establish a close relationship with a city, where data is open and collaboration thrives. Since 2016, schemes powered by UiP / Urban Sharing have largely remained in Norway. Last year it expanded outside Scandinavia and into Edinburgh UK. Through that scheme, the company has learned quite a lot about how its platform can be adapted to fit the needs of cities around the world. Its first fully electric city bike scheme launches in Stockholm next year, with a number of schemes in both Europe and the Americas currently in the pipeline. Through this project Urban Sharing will adapt its bike sharing platform to a completely vehicle and operator agnostic micromobility platform unlike any other seen in today's market, without compromising the flexibility and seamless performance its partners have come to expect. www.urbansharing.com
