Automated Well Intervention Planning and Method Selection

Stimline will develop a software solution that automatically generates actionable and insightful well intervention options for a given well intervention operation. The software will act as an expert system, collecting a companys historical know-how and best practices in single software module, it will be like having the best well intervention planners on job all the time with the collected memory of all operations done in the past. This will reduce planning time and increase safety The resulting innovation will help oil companies and service companies to dramatically lower well intervention planning time and therefore cost, increase productivity, and contribute to the creation of fit-for-purpose well intervention plans. The same idea also applies to well completions, although the focus of this research program is well interventions. As such, the project constitutes an enabling technology for the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
