Technical verification and usability study of a research-based biofeedback-treatment for migraine

Nordic Brain Tech developed the product Cerebri, which is a digitalization of biofeedback. Biofeedback is an existing treatment method that is proven to be effective in migraine and is traditionally delivered at hospitals and clinics with the use of stationary neurophysiological equipment and a trained therapist. Cerebri instead utilizes novel wearable devices and smart AI-software. Together, this makes the treatment self-administered, home-based and independent of trained health professionals for effective delivery. During biofeedback, patients learn to voluntarily modify their bodily reactions through the feedback from one of their own physiological processes. Through AI-processing and visual feedback of bodily reactions, patients will learn to prevent activity that promotes migraines, avoid migraine triggers and increase the threshold for eliciting a migraine attack.
