Rapid, automated 3in1 immunoassay for diagnosis and monitoring of bowel diseases We will develop, validate and bring to the market the worlds' first diagnostic test for fecal samples that can run on automatic analyzers and uses a combination of 3 crucial markers to support diagnosis, exclusion and monitoring of a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases, including but not limited to Crohn's disease, Chronic Pancreatitis, Diabetes Mellitus, and pancreatic and colorectal cancer. Gastrointestinal diseases often show diffuse clinical symptoms, making them difficult to diagnose without expensive, sometimes invasive techniques such as endoscopy/colonoscopy. The test envisioned in this project will provide clinicians almost instantly with a comprehensive overview of the patients' status, which can be used as an aid to diagnose or rule out certain conditions and monitor treatment while the patient is spared unnecessary invasive examinations. We will sell a rapid, cost-effective and patented diagnostic test on the world market, confirmed by solid clinical trials and superior to existing commercially available technology. End users are major hospitals and commercial laboratories around the world.
