Driven by a vision of Forever Changing Indoor Mobility, wheel.me aims to become a preferred platform for indoor mobility and materials handing. wheel.me develops and commercializes the world's first autonomous wheel - the wheel.me Genius. The solution will help people improve the way they live and work by enabling everything indoors to move effortlessly on small and cost-effective embedded robots (Smart Wheels). Anything can be transformed into a robotic device with minimal effort, without the need to change the design or form factor. Representing a game-changer, wheel.me Genius is set to disrupt industrial robotics. The largest segment, AGVs, was valued at EURbn 2.5 in 2018, growing at 30% CAGR to reach EURbn 10.3 in 2025E. In addition, unique flexibility and exceedingly low cost allow wheel.me Genius to develop completely new markets. Bottom-up estimates quickly turn into a "numbers game". Customer pain points and significant macro drivers are addressed: * Increased demand for efficiency and flexibility * Space at a premium everywhere * Big demographic changes * Proprietary solutions leading to fragmented and complex IoT solutions The wheel.me Genius Skattefunn project will be delivered in close collaboration with the Production Management Research Group at NTNU, and centers on: * New knowledge objectives: Investigating needed changes in facilities planning and the requirements for the successful implementation of the wheel.me Genius. * Technology development and optimization objectives: Technology development efforts will ensure wheel.me Genius' functionality and test the system in defined user scenarios. * Technology validation objectives: Demonstrating the wheel.me Genius in real-environment settings to stress-test specifications and functionality together with partners.
