Indra Navias project is to develop a UAV Traffic Management (UTM) system for surveillance and control of UAV/droner. The use of UAV/droner within controlled and urban areas will require a high Precision and safety. When entering the very low level airspace directly over and around infrastructure, people and society the plan for the uav traffic need to be robust. The services of deliveries or point service interacting will require an efficiency and frame in order to be cost efficient. In addition there will be transactions within the airspace which is controlled today, which complicated the priorities and set more constrains to the performace of a UTM system. Indra will fuse sensor inputs and create a UTM system with automatic flight approval procedures, corridor management for the highest possible human acceptance of drone flying in the close perimeters to houses or buildings. Our UTM will also include the incorporation of geofencing in multiple dimmensions to secure any and all police, fire Department and /or search and rescue missions. Indra perceive the UTM to become a qualified and certified system. The qualification and certification of tracking accuracy, route planning, alarms and autonomous flyng will be certified in steps in cooperation with the proper legislator and / or authorithies.
