As a leading player in the aviation industry, Materna IPS has successfully been providing hardware and software solutions to airports, airlines and ground handling companies for more than 30 years. As an IATA strategic partner, we actively contribute to set high standards in the common-use area with the largest number of installations at airports worldwide. In 2003, Materna implemented the first automated baggage acceptance system at Vienna Airport, followed by systems for Emirates and Lufthansa. Airports in India, Canada, Scandinavia, Germany and the UK trust in Materna’s Bagdrop products with multiple units either as newly installed solutions or retrofit kiosks. Biometrics identification which can be biological or morphological was previously reserved for the security of military bases. Due to a combination of state-of-the-art hardware and software, the NexTT Gen project will develop seamless, efficient, secure user applications and functionalities with state-of-the-art biometric technology.
