Through this project Norwegian Recycling Services will get an opportunity to bring forward the technology for offshore waste treatment, what implies large positive changes for oil and gas industry and for energy profile of the region. The company believes that development of an efficient and compact wastewater treatment unit using proven technology to be implemented for offshore use can significantly improve the waste management, ease offshore operations in harsh environment and make the all the oil and gas related activities more environmentally friendly. The results of successful project realisation will imply significant enhancement of Norwegian Recycling Services's market position. Proving that solution developed by the company is to be recognised as Best Available Technology for the offshore waste treatment will lead to company expansion and positive implications for regional job market. Also it will give an opportunity for the company to expand the market for this technology to the areas with intensive oil production (US, Gulf of Mexico, Iran, Brazil).
