Video support system for sports

Forzasys was founded in 2014 as a spinoff from Simula Research Laboratory in collaboration with UiT to enable new possibilities for exposure of sports video through modern technology. The Forzify platform has provided live streaming of elite football games in Norway and Sweden since 2017, and enable users to watch full games, highlights and summaries, search for events, share events on social media and creating their own videos. Two other systems targeting elite football clubs, pmSys and Bagadus, provide monitoring of athletes' health and training load, and video analysis to give players feedback in real time. Much of the new functionality is R&D supporting new kinds of live video import combined with both playback and tagging. In addition we have added VR playback of generated panorama videos to the project. Bagadus and pmSys have previously existed as their own separate systems but are now being integrated. The project aims to research and develop a system for efficient and integrated management of sports video content, including metadata for the video, athletes and users, used by people around the sport (analysis) and by supporters (entertainment). Together with researchers from Simula we improve workflows and make videos and data easily accessible for search and sharing. The main aim in this project is a deepening and widening of the metadata and video content which can be handled by the system.
