Framework for integration of science content into new media formats

Effective science communication calls for long-term public engagement, which is difficult to sustain. Research institutes struggle to stay up to date with a rapidly changing medial culture, and have difficulty generating engagement from an overstimulated general audience.The traditional formats used in science communication like press release and reportage often lack broader context and therefore fail to generate engagement. Ice-9 is committed to the creation of new and innovative platforms, using art and technology, like VR and Augmented Reality, to engage scientific community and the public in an informed conversation about the issues that will shape our future lives. The main objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive framework for integration of science content into various media formats including podcast and micro documentary and interactive formats like VR experience, AR game, interactive exhibition and live discussion event.
