Taking into account BioMar's expansion strategy and construction of a feed factory in Australia, it is essential to develop the more sustainable, cost-effective and high performance feeds for the aquatic species produced in the field. Yellowtail kingfish (YTKF), is one of the most popular fish cultured in Australia. Sustainability of aqua-feed production largely depends on raw material availability and selection. In recent years the raw material profile of aqua-feed has changed significantly in many species including yellowtail. It is therefore crucial to develop high performance feeds and evaluate biological responses of economic value using more sustainable diets for this species.
