Vissim is a world leading supplier of Maritime Awareness and Offshore Energy solutions. Vissim’s technologies lie behind some of the world’s largest and most complex vessel traffic management and surveillance systems. Vissim is a highly innovative information technology company and, for more than thirty years, the company have provided essential capabilities to our customers to enable them to protect their offshore energy assets and maritime borders against threats at sea and to enhance the efficiency of their offshore and maritime operations. Today, the general digitalization development trend leads to a demand for significant new digital VTMS capabilities. With regard to sensor integration, service oriented architecture, control room solutions and analytical approaches. One important driver of this is the emerging focus on autonomous ships and all the relevant aspects related to this evolution with regard to establishing adequate surveillance capabilities to handle different types of relevant safety and security issues. The aim of this project is do carry out a major upgrade of Vissim’s Vessel Traffic Management Services (VTMS) platform to meet the current and coming customer requirements resulting from the ongoing digitalization transformation taking place within offshore Oil & Gas activity and other maritime domains.
