Innovative solution for Production Optimization. During the life cycle of an oil platform, several wells are drilled to maximize the exploitation of the reservoir subject to financial constraints. This procedure results in a complicated graph structure of pipes. The flow of oil and gas through the pipes is controlled by a large quantity of valves, which is manually operated by the crew on the platform. The objective is to minimize the Gas Oil ratio (GOR), and the sustainable production of Oil. Different crews yield different output in the GOR, causing motivation to automate the process in order to increase and stabilize the performance of the Gas/Oil ratio, and thus Oil production output. Oil production from reservoirs is a technically challenging task, and there are several unknown factors. To simulate the multiphase flow, one can use PDEs to find the saturation of oil. However, there are several unknown factors, e.g. the permeability in the reservoir and the exact geology. An innovative approach to these kind of problems is to be derived inn this project and tested under live conditions.
